The blend of Eric as Dan Aykroyd and Carmen as the late John Belushi is a perfect mix in re-creating the "Blues Brothers". However, these "BLUZMEN" go a step further. They showcase some of the original choreography with a few "steps" of their own. As one show critic put it: "These two men have it all down! The look, the sound, every move and the crazy antics!!!"
Eric and Carmen have been performing together as "The Blues Brothers" for 18 years in over 9000 shows worldwide. For ten years, they were a staple in the award winning show "Legends in Concert" in Las Vegas. To this day they are still considered to be one of the most popular acts to have ever graced the highly successful show. Their popularity is not limited to just Las Vegas. They have showcased their act across the United States and all over the world! Entertaining in such cities as: New York, Atlantic City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans, Reno, Maui, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Palm Springs, St. Louis, Miami, Orlando and many more. Eric Alan Martin
Eric is known in the industry for his portrayal as “Elwood” of “The Blues Brothers”. Eric and his partner Carmen Romano have been performing together as “The Blues Brothers” for 18 years in over 9000 shows. They were a staple in the award winning show, “Legends in Concert” in Las Vegas, for an unprecedented 10 consecutive years! Their highly acclaimed act is considered and recognized as one of the finest in the world.
What the industry may not know is that Eric has quite a background in Theater. He began his college years as a Musical Theatre major. Eric has been seen in over 30 musicals nationwide. His two most memorable roles are “Sky” in, “Guys and Dolls” and “Danny” in “Grease”.
Eric’s showbiz career extends beyond the Theatre. He has much radio, television and commercial credits; including several national commercials. He became one of the most sought after voice talents in the “biz”. He has been in high demand in the computer game industry as a voice over and on screen talent. Eric was the star of the #1 video game of 1996, “Command and Conquer”.
Although Eric does not foresee “The Blues Brothers” act slowing down any time soon. He recently revitalized his theatrical “juices”. He wrote and directed a Christmas show for Producer Rick Kanfer of Dynasty Productions entitled, “Holiday Impressions”.
The show received the top honor at the 2004 Entertainment Network Convention in Florida as, Best Major Production Show.
Carmen Romano
Carmen was born in Ashtabula, Ohio. 60 miles east of Cleveland on the Lake Erie shore.
He attended St. John High School and later studied in New York City at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan.
During the years after high school, Carmen fronted his own top 40 lounge band playing throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania. In 1981, he became a regular member of a weekly variety show in Cleveland called "Entertainment 5". As a featured vocalist, he performed songs from Frank Sinatra to Frankie Valli. He relocated to Las Vegas in 1981 and landed a job singing with a vocal group hired to sing back up for the legendary Paul Anka at Caesars Palace.
Then in 1988, Carmen answered an audition notice in the Review Journal that would change his life. The ad read, "If you think you look or sound like John Belushi, call now." "Well, I thought it was for a movie, but as it turned out, it was something much better." Enter Eric Martin, a.k.a "Elwood Blues." "Eric explained to me that he was looking for someone to replace his partner that had decided to move on to other things. I auditioned for him and a week later we auditioned for the producer of "Legends In Concert", John Stuart and 3 days later we were in the show where we stayed for an unprecedented 10 years. And the rest
is history.
Carmen has been seen in motion pictures, television and commercials both local and national. When not performing, he spends his time in Los Angeles auditioning.
He is a die hard Cleveland fan and is still hoping for a championship.
He lives in Las Vegas with his children Carmen III, who plays college baseball in California, super soccer daughter Fabiana and five year old Frankie, "the king"
